Dampe's Graveyard Tour - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Guide - IGN (2024)

Dampe's Gravedigging Tour is a mini-game available only when Link is a child and at night in the Kakariko Graveyard. The gravekeeper named Dampe patrols the graveyard with his shovel and will offer to dig specific spots for a small sum of rupees (10, to be exact). He'll dig up the spot in front of wherever you stop him. During this gravedigging tour, he'll occasionally unearth a variety of treasures, including a Piece of Heart.

Take part in Dampe’s Grave-digging Tour and have him dig in a patch of dirt in the southwest corner of the graveyard by the row of graves just before the musicians' graves. Its the patch of dirt on the walkway between the graves and the fence. To get Dampe to dig, be sure you aren't wearing a mask and simply talk to him when he's over a patch of soil as he makes his rounds. It must be in the evening, but BEFORE midnight. The exact hours of Dampe's tour are on his door.

There's a young boy who wanders the graveyard during the day and follows the same patrol path as Dampe's route at night. The boy's movements are almost prophetic in nature -- the positions he stops at and waves his stick around usually hide something good. Memorize these spots and have Dampe take his shovel to these specific spots.
