Cut in the northeast corner suicidal

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">The northeast corner concept I have to build an extra portion in my house. For this purpose I would like to cut the northeast area of the plot and create a different plot for constructing an unconnected structure.

It must be known that there is a northeast corner for the plot, northeast corner for the house, northeast corner for the room. The northeast corner of the plot must never be cut. In fact this is the only corner where extension is allowed. The northeast corner cut for the plot creates many problems for growth and development from the initial stages itself. When there is a cut in the northeast either from east or north, it has created problems in getting permissions or getting financial assistance or the planning itself becomes problematic. It has been the experience of many people that the northeast corner cut must be corrected first to avoid such problems. Where correction has not been possible most of the people have rejected the plot itself. The scriptures give lot of importance to northeast because in vastu parlance the east is a representation of male member and the north is a representation of the female member. The growth of the entire family depends on these two and hence a cut in this corner is a suicidal pact. Northeast cut coupled with other problems in the house can create havoc. For example where a northeast cut is observed and the southwest is dug up, then the feedback is that there have been accidents to male children. The point of explaining all this is that you are creating a very big problem for yourself if you cut the northeast of the plot. I request you not to proceed further with your plans. The northeast of the house also must not be cut. In specific cases the northeast can be extended slightly with cantilever projections. Many people commit a mistake by trying to increase the northeast of the rooms, which should be avoided. Kitchen in the central-west area creates problems I am constructing a new house and would like the kitchen in the central west portion of the house. Some people are giving different opinions about it. They are even talking about individual placements of items in the kitchen as if it matters. I find all this is not correct as per vastu principles. Vastu deals with only ventilation and light. Please clarify on the drawing I am sending. Vastu very clearly specifies not only ventilation and air circulation but also every minute thing related to construction of the house, location of the rooms, interiors of the rooms, placement of the items and also the methodology of using these items. As you are constructing a new house and seeking my opinion I would strongly recommend you to follow vastu principles. The central West kitchen will create problems related to ladies health which may finally lead to unavoidable surgery cases and problems related with there pregnancies. You can conveniently locate the kitchen in the southeast corner of the house, which is a strongly suggested place for an east-facing plot. The set up of the kitchen should be planned in such a way that the sink must be located in the northeast zone and the stove must be located in the southeast zone. The person cooking food must always face east. The location of the storage racks, attics, low roofs and wall mounted storage cabinets must be located in the south or west sides of the kitchen. All electrical appliances must be located in the southeast south of the kitchen. The southwest corner of the kitchen must be heavily loaded. The northwest area of the kitchen can be used for locating freezers or the pantry. Please note that the placement of sink and stove play a very important role in the kitchen. The standard rule to be followed for the kitchen is to never cut the southeast. Wealth cannot buy peace I have constructed a new house in Srinagar Colony area. Though this is a very costly house and built very nicely, I do not have mental peace after shifting into this house. Please suggest remedial measures. M Krishna Kishore, Hyderabad Though the house is very costly and built in a lavish way please remember that unless the house is built in a vastu complaint manner, it can not assure any peace, prosperity and happiness and after observing the drawing sent by you I have to caution you that the house has many serious defects which call for certain demolitions and constructions which may or may not be to your liking. a) The plot has a southwest west increase, which is incorrect as per vastu. Since you have left this area open I suggest you separate this area by creating a perfect 90-degree corner in the southwest and use the remaining area for dumping. Do not have any access into this area and in the process some area may go waste. b) The northeast east is having a slight cut and this must be corrected by creating increased northeast east which will be a corner with less than 90 degrees in northeast and more than 90 degrees in southeast. c) The northeast east portion has high and objectionable elevations, which must be removed immediately and must be dumped in the southwest corner of the plot. The levels of the plot should be done in a way that the southeast must be higher than the northwest and the entire plot must be corrected in levels as per the four zone level theory. d) There is a northwest north entry, which must be closed immediately. If you want to use the backside garden there can be a northwest west entry. There has been a heavy usage of wood in this zone. I recommend you to convert the style of usage by making a dominant metallic structure or paint the wood in strong metallic colors. Tips for Educational Institutions Educational Institutions are known for excellence in creativity and serving as innovative and useful organisations for the society. Any area, which requires development and growth, related to innovation, research, development in knowledge and mental progress must have facilities to face dominantly the east line and wherever this is not possible it should face north. In all such cases facing towards south or west will not give the desired results. The detailed planning and construction of the institutions must be done keeping in view of the social responsibilities and the young lives, which are dependent on them. The plot for any of these institutions must be of regular shape that is either rectangular or square rather than any other shapes. If it is rectangular in nature the northeast extensions are allowed for a general school or an elementary type of institution. Extensions towards southwest and southeast are allowed in other cases depending on the nature of the activity. The leveling of the plot must follow the rule of sloping towards north from south. Sloping from west to east has to be avoided for the plot because this may create financial problems, which may finally affect the existence of the institutions. Because of the nature of the inventive and knowledge based activity performed in these institutions it is always good to have open spaces in the north or east of the institution. When the institution is very big and lot of open area is required like playgrounds, movement areas, places for convention, meeting grounds or PT, grounds should always be towards northern or eastern or northeast areas. A typical design can be adopted if the open areas are there all round the institutions.</div> </div>
