Crypto News Updates: Bitcoin regained grounds amid a regulatory deadline coming up on Wednesday. Bitcoin’s price gained to trade at $45,000 previously, after dropping below $43,310 in the early morning. The OG cryptocurrency’s price currently stands at $45,245, up nearly 2% over the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, fees for Fidelity, BlackRock, and other applications to establish a spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) in the US have gone public. According to BlackRock’s S-1 filing, the charge will start at 20 basis points for the first 12 months.
Fidelity stated a cost of 0.39%, while asset management VanEck and Cathie Wood’s investment company ARK also disclosed fees of 0.25%.

In the interim, SEC chair Gary Gensler took a sarcastic view on investment in digital assets. In a post on Platform X, Gensler said “Fraudsters continue to exploit the rising popularity of crypto assets to lure retail investors into scams.”
