Not sure what your asking here. As you own the lens you should be able to find out yourself but my answer is any where from closest focus to infinity. You can get images of the moon.

Most lenses can focus to infinity, that is very far...

But I understand your question to be "how much closer a 600mm will bring the subject ? "

If that is the case, it is normaly accepted that a 50mm lens has a similar angle of view to what we see in sharp focus.

A 600mm will bring the subject 12 times closer.

Each 50mm over the first is 1 time closer.

There is no such lens as a Canon 600mm f/5.6-6.3. Do you mean a Canon 600mm f/4 lens?

I do not understand your question.

Are you asking what 600mm is when converted to feet? If so the answer is just under two week.

Are you asking the minimum focusing distance of that 600mm lens? If so the answer is about 15ft.

If you mean how far away can it shoot distant objects then that depends on how big they are and how big you want them to be in the final image. It also depends on whether you are using a Full Frame or APS-C camera.

Why don't you tell us what camera you are using and what you are trying to photograph and we should be able to give you some indication of how far away you can be with a 600mm lens.

I had no problem shooting the full moon with a 600mm. So, many feet.

Chris op has posted all over the place. It’s a tamron 150-600.

I suspected that that might be the case but it wouldn't have changed my answer except for the minimum focusing distance which is about 9 feet on the Tamron.

Thanks for pointing it out.
