Are there showers at China Camp State park? ›

Hot showers are available at two of the campground restrooms.

Last year, Reserve California and Florida State Parks started holding some canceled campsite reservations for rebooking. These newly canceled campsites would appear on their booking system with a lock icon and typically get released the next day at a set time.

A Trail-Only Day Pass is $3 per person. A Parking+Trail Day Pass is $5 per vehicle, which includes trail access for up to four people. Purchase day-use passes at one of our Electronic Pay Stations, located throughout the park. Pay stations accept cash (no change), or credit and ATM cards.

DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON TRAILS. Dogs are allowed on a leash in the campground and in the day use/picnic areas, including the beach. Collecting or destroying anything in the park, including mushrooms, is prohibited.

As for swimming, China Camp is a secret sweet spot for distance swimmers, particularly in late summer and fall when bay waters warm to surprisingly comfortable temperatures (74 degrees F./22 degrees C. is average).

At many campgrounds, you can take a shower outside. Some require you to collect your waste water and dump it in specific places, while others don't. The best setup is an Outdoor camping Shower for privacy and a portable camping shower.

Campground theft may not be rampant, but employing the following campsite theft prevention tips is still a good idea. The thing to remember is that most thieves are rather lazy. Or, I suppose you can argue that they prefer to work smarter, not harder. That means they go for the easiest targets.

And no matter what you ride, be safe, be smart, and have fun: Only Class 1 e-bikes are allowed on China Camp's roadways and authorized trails. If a trail isn't on our park map, it's not authorized/legal to ride using any type of bike, nor is it open to hikers or horseback riders.

Fishing — Striped bass, flounder, perch, and sturgeon may be caught at several access spots along the bay. Anglers aged 16 and over must have valid California fishing licenses: www.wildlife.ca.gov. Programs and Events — Campfire programs are held for campers from May to October.

The policy restricts every family to one dog as a maximum both in Beijing and Shanghai. It also sets a legal limit for dog height at 35 cm (14 inches) in Beijing, but not in Shanghai. Dogs are not allowed to be abandoned, and owners cannot take their dogs to public places such as markets, parks and sightseeing areas.

Yes, there are shower facilities available for your use. These are called Comfort Stations, and you'll find them on the map given to you upon arrival with a bold “CS” on the map. I counted 15 of these special facilities around the campsite areas, so there is sure to be one right by your personal campsite.

Bathrooms and showers are kept well stocked and very clean. Campground hosts always have something fun planned and are super friendly.

Restrooms, showers and drinking water are located in the center of the campground. Tent areas are mostly level and most sites have shade.
