How much time do you need at Brevard Zoo? ›

The average visitor spends about three hours with us. That includes viewing the habitats, experiencing some of our special adventures and playing in Paws On with your kids.

Great little zoo with well cared for animals. If you want to support a zoo, this is a good one! We're zoo members and we love this little zoo!

The Brevard Zoo Linear Trail is a 3.1 mile multi-use boardwalk and asphalt trail that runs from the Brevard Zoo, east along I-95 through wetlands and oak hammocks, under the Pineda Overpass, and ends at Turtle Mound.

The best time to visit most zoos is during the weekdays when it's less crowded. Avoid the midday heat by visiting in the morning or late afternoon. You'll also have a better chance of seeing animals that are more active during these cooler times of the day.

With children, it could take a few hours to all day to see everything, go on rides, attend shows, etc. For adults just walking through exhibit areas, the full zoo can be seen in about 2-3 hours.

Outside food and alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the Zoo. One non-alcoholic beverage is permitted per guest; however, lids and straws must be removed prior to entry. Lids may remain on hot beverages. Coolers may not be brought inside the Zoo, but you are welcome to use the picnic tables outside the entrance.

We're so thrilled to share that our Zoo was recently granted accreditation by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums' (AZA) independent Accreditation Commission! Of the 31 applications for accreditation reviewed by the Commission during AZA's Mid-Year Meeting held in Memphis, Tenn., 28 were granted accreditation.

At Pfizer, 99% of the animals in our care are rats and mice. Other species include rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, dogs, and non-human primates.
