Q. What are those BITE BLOCKs?

A. Bite blocks are made out of blue or tooth colored material. They are used to help protect your brackets from your teeth or to help correct a deep bite or unlock your bite.

Q. What if they come off?

A. IF you are BITING ON YOUR BRACKETS, call and we will replace them as soon as possible.

IF you are NOT biting on your brackets, please keep your regularly scheduled appointment and we will evaluate need for replacement then.

Q. When will they come off?

A. When the deep bite is fixed or when the bite becomes unlocked, we will be able to polish those bite blocks off.

There are two types of bite blocks:

1. Bite ramps we place in the front of your mouth (ours are pink or blue, not metal):

2. Bite blocks we place in the back of your mouth (pink or blue):
