PAYONEER

Payoneer is a great way to receive online payments. With Payoneer, once you have a certain amount you are able to receive online payments using a Mastercard which you receive from them which makes things way more convenient. With Payoneer, you don’t have to worry about the hassle of wire transfers or high transaction fees. Plus, you can withdraw your earnings right to your local bank account in Jamaican dollars. It’s super convenient and a great way to get paid for your freelance work without any stress.

Not only that but Payoneer offers a referral program so that is a good way to put an extra $25 in your pocket.

PAYPAL

Also, another good way to get paid. Also very convenient, as you can connect it to your bank card. If you are in some countries like Jamaica, you can create an account using your cellphone. Paper cheques are another avenue, this however can pose a small issue in terms of timing depending on where the cheque is coming from, then even more so if the cheque is in another currency it may take a bit longer to be cleared. So just be mindful of those things before using a cheque as your payment method as a freelancer.

AMBER PAY

Amber Pay has a payment gateway known as eLink that heps Jamaican businesses accept credit card payments. The great thing about Amber Pay is that there is no setup fee or monthly fee for this service. They do however charge a percentage of the transaction amout which is fair. Any Jamaican with a freelance business can create an invoice from the ELink dashboard and send it from your smartphone directly to your customer.

You can also send a unique payment link by WhatsApp, Email, SMS, and even Social Media for the customer to make payments. You can even generate a QR code and accept payments online from customers by scanning. Ultimately you can use Amber Pay and set up an eLink account to receive US Dollars from international customers and settle it in your local Jamaican bank account.
