Is Abigail's Flower good? ›

Despite being a pre-Hardmode summon weapon, Abigail's Flower can work well in Hardmode, and can be a good substitute to Hardmode summon items, particularly due to the fact that it gains additional damage per summon in Hardmode. This is especially noticeable when paired with the Firecracker.

Abigail's Flower is a character-specific item used by Wendy to summon the Ghost of her twin sister, Abigail, by placing it on the ground and killing any Mob near the flower. Wendy's own death is also enough to summon Abigail.

Cooldown. Abigail's Flower needs to recharge to be able to spawn Abigail, taking a random amount of time between 1 and 3 days (480 and 1440 seconds). When there's less than 1 day (480 seconds) left, it will start to bloom and its petals will look reddish.

A useful way to summon Abigail is to stand next to a nearby flower and hit a Butterfly when it spawns. These creatures can be killed in one hit while unarmed and doing so will be enough for the blood pact. One can also spawn Abigail easily by using a Fleshy Bulb in the Winter.

Abigail's Flower can be uncommonly found as a plant growing on grass near a placed Tombstone, regardless of world progression. Its spawn chance is increased in a Constant world.

Abigail's flower is also visible from the map screen, making it easy to relocate should the player accidentally lose track of it. If the flower somehow falls into the ocean, it will disappear like a normal item and will re-spawn near the player.

Summoning Abigail

Abigail is summoned using her Flower. When the flower is fully open, killing anything (even yourself!) while the flower is on the ground will summon her, causing you to suffer a -50 Sanity penalty as a result.

Tips. The Flower of Fire does exceptionally high damage for a pre-Hardmode weapon. She is weaker at Daytime and powerful at Night. per second, and she can be healed using items like Healing Salves, Spider Glands, or Honey Poultices. If she loses all of her health, she retreats into her flower and needs to recharge before being summoned once again by Wendy.
