Sign Up for Swagbucks and Earn FREE Kohl’s Gift Cards when you search online! I earn at least a $5 Gift Card a month, if you save those up that’s like having an extra $60-$100 to spend on Christmas gifts during the Holidays!
2.) Look for the Dot on the Price Tag for the Lowest Price!
If an item has a Digital Tag look for the small dot in the top right corner, which means this is the lowest price on the item and you won’t expect to find it for lower until the end of the season clearance starts.
3.) Decode the Signs And Avoid Getting Scammed!
Did you know that those Little Digital Signs tell you a whole lot more than the price of the item, it will also tell you what kind of sale and even if the item is on sale! Watch out for the “PP” Code, which means the item is just a Product Placement and it’s always that price, wait for the item to drop and go on an actual sale if you see this code! You also want to watch out for the “NM” Code that means the item will be marked down again so keep checking back for a better price!
Here’s what all the codes mean:
- PP: Product Placement – This item isn’t really on sale, this is the normal fixed price.
- NM: Item will be marked down again (Similar to PP)
- BGH: Buy 1 Get 1 50% off
- S: Sale Price
- GV: Limited Time Sale (Includes Early Bird and Night Owl Sales)
- BB: Bonus Buy
4.) The Best Time To Shop Kohls is from 3 pm Friday – 1 pm Sunday
You can get Extra Discounts on top of Sale Prices when you shop during Night Owl or Early Bird Hours. Shop After 3 pm on Friday, or Before 1 pm on Saturday and you’ll often get an additional 10-15% Off Sale Prices! Check your local Ads for details and be on the lookout for these awesome sales! Sales are valid both online and in stores.
5.) You can Save 15% When you Sign Up for Text Alerts

7.) Click on “Today’s Deals” to see Current Coupon Codes!
Kohls issues new Kohls Coupons typically on Wednesdays & Fridays! Sometimes we see additional codes on Sundays but regardless of when you are shopping, you should be able to find high-value discounts. Check our Kohls Coupons page for updated codes or click on the “Today’s Deals” Section of the Kohls Homepage to see all the current coupons available! You can also select “Today’s Deals” From the Kohl’s app to see any available in-store or online coupons. This is one of the easiest ways to find all the discounts in one place.
8.) How to Find Kohl’s In Store Coupons Quickly
Just because you aren’t shopping online doesn’t mean you can’t save big at Kohls. All Kohl’s coupons are valid both in stores and online. If it’s an online coupon it should be listed under the Today’s Deals section where you can print an in store shopping past. Or you can use Retail Me Not App to find In Store Coupons. Just pull up the app on your phone to see current and valid Kohl’s Coupons then show your phone at checkout to receive your discount.
9.) Add Online Coupon Codes to Your Phone for In Store Use!
Download the Kohl’s App and then click on “My Wallet” Add your online coupon code to the app and it will create a barcode you can use in stores!
10.) Stack Your Kohls Coupons for Extreme Savings!
Most people don’t know Kohls allows you to stack a dollar off coupon (Like a $10 off any purchase or $10/$30 Purchase) Coupon with a Percent off Coupon (Like 15% or 20% Off Everything!)
Dollar off coupons, Kohls Cash and Discount Coupons all can be applied to the same order. Or you can stack a Category Coupon (Men’s, Juniors, Women’s) + A Total Purchase Coupon for Big Savings!
Online you can Stack up to 4 Coupon Codes on the same transaction!
11.) Get Maximum Savings By Maximizing Your Coupons!
It’s important to know how your Kohl’s Coupons will apply, Kohl’s Cash is applied first which means if you have a big transaction you might be better off breaking out a smaller item that’s exactly $10 and applying the Kohl’s Cash to that item first. This list will also help you keep track of your total so you know what you’ll be spending out of pocket because the price changes depending on how you apply the coupons.
Here is the order used for applying discounts at Kohl’s:
- Kohl’s Cash
- Department Specific Coupons ($10 off Mens or Kids)
- Dollar Off Coupons ($10/$30 or Kohl’s Cash)
- Percent off Coupons (30% or 20% off Storewide)
- Rewards Coupons from Kohl’s Rewards
Here’s a Tip! Add your Kohl’s Coupons to the Kohl’s App and it will keep up with your total for you, just scan all coupons you have, including Kohl’s Cash and rewards, then scan all the items you plan to buy and it will calculate and keep a running tab on your total.
12.) Spend & Earn Rewards on Name Brand Items!
Kohl’s carries name brand items like Nike, Under Armour, and American Girl. These items are not eligible for Promotional Coupons, But you Can Spend your Rewards and Kohl’s Cash on these items. This is the best way to use your Kohl’s Cash since your Kohl’s Cash is deducted before coupons, I would split any non-coupon items into a separate transaction and use your rewards to make sure the cash registers mark everything correctly.

18.) Combine Your Receipts to Earn Kohl’s Cash
You can take your receipts to Customer Service and have them combined to get your Kohl’s Cash. If you make 2 $25 Purchases during the same Kohl’s Cash Offer (For example running August 5th – 14th) You can add up your receipts and get your $10 in Kohl’s Cash for spending $50 or more! Just ask your Cashier, or go to the Customer Service Department!
19.) FREE Shipping from the Kohl’s Kiosk In Stores
Kohls.com offers Free Shipping on orders of $75 or more and occasionally we post Kohls Coupons for Free Shipping on orders of $50 or more, or Free Shipping No Minimum.
If you can’t find a Coupon Code for Free Shipping you can head in stores to use the In Store Kiosk. Any order made from an In Store Kiosk will get Free Shipping with No Minimum! This is perfect for ordering those items only available online and a great way to avoid shipping costs!
20.) Wait for Gold Star Clearance
Kohls runs something called Gold Star clearance which is up to 80% off original prices. Typically this happens around 4 times a year at the end of each season. Watch for the Gold Star Clearance sections in your stores to find amazing deals!
Remember you can stack Gold Star Clearance Sales with Coupons and sometimes even Kohl’s Cash! Stacking the savings is the best way to get amazing deals!
21.) Senior Citizens Discount

22.) Kohl’s Charge Card Holders save more
I’m not typically one to recommend that you sign up for In Store Credit Cards, but Kohls offers amazing savings that are exclusively for Card Holders. If You’re a Card Holder you can save up to 30% at least once per month. That’s 12 times per year when you can save more by being a Kohls Card Holder!
We also frequently see Free Shipping Codes for Card Holders, just another perk of being a Kohls Card Holder. If you don’t already have a Kohls Charge Card this is one store where it might be worth it, You can sign up for a Kohls Card Online.
23.) Download the Kohls App to Store Your Credit Card
If you’re worried about not having your Credit Card With You when you head to the store you can actually scan your Kohl’s Charge Card Information into your Kohl’s App and store it securely. That way you never have to worry about getting to the store without your card. Since most of the Kohl’s Cardholder Discounts require you to use your card this is a great way to make sure you don’t miss out!
24.) Save Your Receipt for Easy Price Adjustments
You have 2 weeks to take your receipt back for a price adjustment. If the price goes down then you’ll be able to get the difference back! You have 14 days from the purchase date to take in your original dated sales receipt and get the cash back, this does not apply to Clearance Items but it does apply to coupons. So if you buy an item without a Coupon, take back the receipt, item and a new coupon you can get the difference of the final prices!
25.) Use a Credit Card for Easy Returns
Kohl’s offers Hassle Free Returns which means you can make a return of any item at any time. And when you buy items using a credit card (Any card, not just a Kohls Charge Card) They can look up your purchase within the last 12 months to give you back your purchase price even without a receipt!
I did this recently where I couldn’t find a receipt and they were going to give me the lowest known price for my return, when I came back with the credit card I used to make the purchase I received the full value of my purchase even though I still didn’t have a receipt! It’s really simple to make returns as long as you know which credit card you made the purchase on.
26.) There’s No Limit on Returns
Did you know that there is actually no limit or time-frame on when you can do returns at Kohl’s. As long as you have the receipt or the credit card, you don’t have to worry about running out of time on items that you don’t need or want. You can return your item anytime for the purchase price with proof of purchase, or the lowest price in stores if the item is no longer available.
