About the Caramelos Estampas de Cine Paper Stock Cards

Amit comments on the irregular shape of these cards, suspecting that they may have been hand cut from larger sheets. He also adds that they are of a medium type paper stock--not too thin, but not an actual card stock either.

Each card measures approximately 1-3/8" X 1-3/4 inches.
Set of 120 numbered in series of 15, each series lettered A through H.
Issued with album denoting Second Series. Have also spotted a similar set with an alternative illustrated album cover and card numbers (e.g., Ser.C Num.8) on left border on front. These Second Series pieces are numbered on reverse as shown in the gallery below.
Checklist and gallery below are nearly complete, naming and showing 117 of the 120 "Estampas de Cine" cards. Missing numbers are E-07, G-11 and H-11.
Discounting those missing cards the key pieces to this set appear to be the individual cards picturing each Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.
It is interesting to see that not only are Laurel and Hardy included as sequentially numbered cards in the same series (C-05 and C-06), but that other themed groupings can also be spotted, such as cards #C-08, C-09 and C-10 picturing Karen Morley, Paul Muni and Ann Dvorak, the stars of Scarface (1932).
Album and contents appear to date to mid-1930s, no earlier than 1934.
Inclusion of Baby Leroy, who appeared in movies between 1933-1935, and Charlotte Henry as pictured in 1933's Alice in Wonderland, in addition to familiar poses (The Bing Crosby pose is the same as used in set; James Cagney a match for set; George Raft matches 1934 Godfrey Phillips Film Stars set; etc.) has led me to place a circa 1934 date on this page.
