My First Paid For Post Experience
When I first started guest posting, I was giving away my content to anyone and everyone. I stumbled upon a site that offered to pay me for my content.
I didn’t think anything about it because my only goal was to get my guest post published on the blog. So when she accepted my guest post, I was ecstatic. This was one of my first guest posts and I was a complete newbie to guest posting.
About a week after my guest post was published, I received a payment in my PayPal account for $15. Now I know what you’re thinking, what’s $15.
Well to tell you the truth, not much. That won’t even buy groceries for the week. That experience got me the courage to start guesting posting and it even gave me the courage to reach out to other bloggers.
I also got paid for my content. Talk about win-win.
I Was Clueless
Before my personal experience, I had no clue that there were sites that pay you to write articles. As you know, I currently work as a WordPress freelancer but am moving away from that so I can work full-time on this blog.
Maybe you’re working on your blog to become a full-time blogger. If your blog is NOT making any money right now, these sites can help you earn some money from home while you continue working on your blog.

How well do you understand the WordPress platform? Maybe you have learned how to use the Genesis Framework while managing and working on your blog? If so then you can consider writing articles for Slick WP. They are constantly looking for high-quality articles and tutorials that will help their readers.
All of your content will need to be 100% original and will need to consist of 1200 – 2000 words.
#6 Big Grey Horse

If you live in Texas then you can consider writing for Big Grey Horse. They are looking for your stories and experience with restaurant, music, bar, hotels, events in Texas.
One of their requirements is that you visit the place in Texas that you’re writing about. They are looking for your POV for each article written. All articles must be 600-1,000 words.

Make a Living Writing accepts articles in several different subtopics such as; social media marketing success stories, productivity, self-publishing success stories, blogging, overcoming fear and etc.
