Only those bloggers who are not making money will tell you that they blog because they’re passionate about sharing their expertise and knowledge. Most of us started our blogs because we’re passionate about the niche we chose.

But I don’t know about you, but if it’s possible to make money with my blog, I’m all for it. After all, I’ll be a happy camper when I can finally walk away from my WordPress freelancing gig and work full-time on my blog. When I read about blogging sites that pay for your content, I thought I would write a little bit about it. I’ve even wrote a post on a site that paid before I even knew that it was real.

My First Paid For Post Experience

When I first started guest posting, I was giving away my content to anyone and everyone. I stumbled upon a site that offered to pay me for my content.

I didn’t think anything about it because my only goal was to get my guest post published on the blog. So when she accepted my guest post, I was ecstatic. This was one of my first guest posts and I was a complete newbie to guest posting.

About a week after my guest post was published, I received a payment in my PayPal account for $15. Now I know what you’re thinking, what’s $15.

Well to tell you the truth, not much. That won’t even buy groceries for the week. That experience got me the courage to start guesting posting and it even gave me the courage to reach out to other bloggers.

I also got paid for my content. Talk about win-win.

I Was Clueless

Before my personal experience, I had no clue that there were sites that pay you to write articles. As you know, I currently work as a WordPress freelancer but am moving away from that so I can work full-time on this blog.

Maybe you’re working on your blog to become a full-time blogger. If your blog is NOT making any money right now, these sites can help you earn some money from home while you continue working on your blog.

After all, we all have bills to pay. If your blog isn’t making money, then getting paid to write articles can be a great way to supplement your income from home.

This is great news, especially if you can knock out a 1,500 words or more in less than 2 hours. It doesn’t take me very long to write my blog posts, but then I’ve chosen to write on a blog topic that I am passionate about.

Who knows, maybe I’ll consider writing an article for another site in hopes of getting paid for my article. After all, if you can churn out a quality article in an hour, you can easily add another income stream that pays you from home.

I know that writing articles for other bloggers is not passive income. But hey, you have to do what you have to do until your blog pays for itself.

Why You Should Consider These Sites

One of the mistakes that most new bloggers make when it comes to monetizing their blog is they start with Google Adsense. When I started this blog, I started using Adsense to help me earn some passive income.

I’ve since removed the ads from my blog because I wasn’t making any money. While Google Adsense can be a great way to monetize your blog.

But the truth is that if you’re not getting a ton of traffic to your blog, you’re not going to make anything. I kept Adsense on my blog for about a month and I think that I made a whole whopping $3.00.

For me, it just wasn’t worth it to keep it on my blog. I’d rather have someone subscribe to my email list than clicking away from my blog for a few pennies.

I’m not saying that once I start learning how to use Pinterest to increase my blog traffic, that I won’t put ads back on my blog. But for right now, it’s just not worth it.

Making money from a blog can take a while for new bloggers. There’s a lot to learn about when you are trying to monetize your blog.

I’m not saying that you can’t make money with your blog. In fact, it’s totally possible. The biggest challenge for most new bloggers and myself is traffic.

Once you start getting traffic and your blog is monetized, you will start to see some income coming in. But it takes a while to learn how to get blog traffic.

These sites that pay you to write content for them can be a great way to make money while your blog is building traction and popularity.

In the meantime, you can check out some of these sites that pay you to write for them. I’ve done my best to find some of the top paying sites that pay at least $50-$100 per article.

Sites That Pay You To Write For Them

I’ve done mybest to put some of these sites in one place to make it easy for you to make money with your blog. However, I haven’t used any of these sites before, so make sure that you do your due diligence before giving away your content.

Look at this method as a win-win. You’ll get paid to write articles, plus you might get the exposure on a bigger blog. As a blogger, you’re already writing at least one blog post per week, why not consider getting paid as a freelance writing side gig?

If you do submit your content to any of the blogging sites that pay you for your content, be sure to come back and let me how your experience was.

11 Blogging Sites You Might Want to Check Out

I totally get that you could go out and find these sites yourself. However, I know that you don’t have a lot of time, Maybe you’re still a part-time blogger and don’t have a lot of energy to work on your blog?

If you’re like me, then you’re still trying to improve your Pinterest strategy to help you increase your blog traffic. Either way, I wanted to go out and find these sites that pay you to write content.

Because if you can actually make money today, not wait until you start making money with your affiliate links. Maybe, just maybe you’ll push through the slow times on your blog.
