10 Best Airbnb Amsterdam City Centre Apartments — ckanani (2024)

Searching for the best Airbnb Amsterdam? Here are the 10 best Airbnb Amsterdam city centre options!

If you are on the hunt for Amsterdam accommodations, you’ve likely noticed that hotels can be incredibly expensive. Instead, there are plenty of Amsterdam apartments for rent, providing a more local experience at greatly reduced prices.

As someone who has spent many weeks in Amsterdam over the past few years, I generated the below Airbnb Amsterdam recommendations based on a variety of factors:

  • Location. They are all apartments in Amsterdam city centre. Jordaan is my favorite neighborhood and the best place to stay in Amsterdam so I tried to stick as closely to that as possible

  • Home type. Because I personally only book entire apartments/homes, that’s what I recommend. If you are looking for individual rooms for rent Amsterdam, this is not it.

  • Price. These aren’t all what I would consider cheap b&b Amsterdam options, but they are definitely inexpensive when you compare them to most hotels!

  • Overall aesthetic. Cause it’s gotta be pretty, of course ;)

“Ground Floor Canal View Apartment + Garden”

Best Airbnb Amsterdam? This has my vote! It has a canal view AND a garden - basically as good as it gets.

The owner is a superhost which means he’s experienced and highly rated, the location is great (Airbnb Amsterdam central right here!), and it’s got 14 unanimous 5-star reviews. The price is much less than most hotels and it fits up to four people. If you’re looking for a flat Amsterdam, this is my top pick.

DID YOU KNOW: when you book your flights, accommodations, and activities through the links on any of our blog posts, it helps keep our site running at no additional cost to you. We really appreciate your support!

“Cosy Beautiful Studio Located in the City Center”

This studio apartment is a good option for up to 2 people looking for Amsterdam rental homes. Again, much less expensive than a hotel, highly recommended by plenty of past guests, and newly renovated.

“Skyrocketing 2-level Apt in City Centre”

Looking for a cheap b&b Amsterdam? Despite fitting 4, this is the least expensive option on my list.

This two level apartment is another great Airbnb Amsterdam city centre option for 4 people! It’s in a great location close to plenty of popular places you’ll want to go, has unanimous 5-star reviews, and is beautiful. And considering it fits up to 4 people it is incredibly inexpensive!

“Private Canal Apartment Near Anne Frank House”

This one has the perfect location in Jordaan (my favorite), fits up to 2 people, and newly renovated! The only problem here is that it looks like it books up well in advance so it may be hard to rent in Amsterdam unless you get in early.

“Luxurious Canal view Apt No.2 | City Centre”

This luxurious canal view apartment is another inexpensive option for up to 4 people. It has two bedrooms with double beds that can be split into singles if needed, too! Great location in Amsterdam city centre, and highly rated.

“Heart of the Jordaan B&B - Spacious”

If you have a group of 3, this one fits the bill with one king bed and an additional air mattress. Just like the rest of the list the location is perfect, plus it has over 150 5-star reviews. The owner is a superhost and lives in the same building so she’s easily accessible too, if needed! The view is beautiful as you can see although not canal view.

“Great Apt & Garden in Central A’dam”

I’m really loving these garden options! If you are too, here’s another. It fits up to 4, is owned by a superhost, is on the border of Jordaan and Westerpark (just as tad bit further than my norm but certainly still doable), and looks beautiful both inside and out. There’s even a washer and dryer if you need to do some laundry :)

“Apartment Jordaan with Corner View”

This option is listed as fit for 2 guests but it has a double bed plus two single beds so you could fit up to 4 if need be! A spacious b&b Amsterdam centre option, located on the Bloemgracht canal very close to the Anne Frank Huis right in the center of Jordaan. There is great shopping around here, too! Visit my Amsterdam itinerary post for more information on those.

“Comfortable Apt. in City Center”

This Airbnb is in Leidseplein, just south of my favorite neighborhood of Jordaan. It’s actually more central than Jordaan but arguably not as charming. Still a great choice though, which is why I have included it! From the photos it looks ginormous and with 4.5 stars after 67 reviews it is a great choice.

“Dreamy House for 4 | Explore the City Centre”

Dreamy house for 4 is right! It’s a bit south of Jordaan but not too far that I would disregard it. It is newly renovated as I’m sure you can tell from the above photos with a canal view. There’s even a balcony
